The detector’s lux value 0/7/0 dropped below 120 lx during a rain shower just before the command. The twilight threshold is the same at midday as at night.
Channel C of device 1.1.10 measures the washing machine’s power and sends an OFF command to 2/0/6 10 s after the power drops below 5 W. The valve is driven by output J of actuator 1.1.8.
The delay comes from the output timer: 1.1.8 › Output J: Water valve › Timer, Switch-off delay = 15 min. Shorten it if you want the valve to close as soon as the wash ends.

No. The Monitor, Timeline, charts and KNX Assistant all run in your browser. You import the ETS project once during setup so group addresses get their proper names – after that you only need ETS if you want to program the site remotely.
Supported today: Schneider Electric Wiser for KNX and spaceLYnk, Embedded Systems LogicMachine, Raspberry Pi, and Windows and macOS computers. The Raspberry Pi and the computer listen to the bus over KNX/IP, so the existing KNX/IP interface on site is all you need. The list keeps growing. Yes, as long as all traffic reaches the recorder. A Raspberry Pi or a Windows or macOS computer can listen to the KNX/IP gateways of up to 16 lines at once and merge the telegrams into a single recording. Wiser for KNX, spaceLYnk and LogicMachine hear all traffic on their own line, plus everything the line couplers pass on to it. Setup walks you through the settings you need. KNXSENSE checks the addresses it hears against the ETS project and tells you if any line isn’t reaching the recorder, so you know where you stand straight away – not six months later.
All traffic between KNXSENSE and the site is encrypted, and two-factor authentication keeps your sites’ data safe. Our servers and backups are in the EU, in Finland, and data is backed up daily.
No. All connections go outbound from the site and are encrypted – remote access included. Nothing is left exposed on site, no VPN is needed, and it even works behind carrier-grade NAT.
Yes. ETS tunnelling works with every recorder KNXSENSE supports.
Telegram-level history is kept for 400 days and stays searchable the whole time. Long-term charts are kept for as long as your account is active.
No. KNXSENSE only stores the data from your sites. It is never sold, and it is not used for anything other than running the service. You can export it in a machine-readable format at any time while your account is active, and once your subscription ends the data is deleted in accordance with the Terms of Service.
Never on its own. The only exception is remote access, where your own ETS writes to the bus on your instruction.
Import the latest version so every address gets the right name. If addresses show up on the bus that aren’t in the project, KNXSENSE flags them – often the first sign that the documentation has fallen behind.
Yes. The imported project file is stored encrypted and you can download it again at any time – a handy last-resort backup if your laptop dies. The project password is never stored.
Yes. KNXSENSE runs in the browser, so it works on laptops, tablets and phones with nothing to install.
Yes. KNXSENSE sends real-time alerts – to your phone, for example – when a site goes offline or a fault is detected. Each user chooses which alerts they receive.
